The creative tendency is as much burden as it is joy. To be by nature a maker is to live with the knowledge that all Being is unmade.
The beuyianism, “everyone is an artist” has lied dormant in my mind for a decade. It’s intuitiveness prevented outright rejection. I had to accept it despite the idea’s actual complexity when applied.
Every being is inherently creative, that much I Know.
But the artist is a Being whose impulse to create carries the constant burden of all creation’s undoing, leaving in it’s wake a constant anxiety.
The remedy is motion.
I am surrounded by people that Work.
By people that feel unmanageable when they aren’t at some level project-focused, beating back the entropic tendency of the universe’s unfolding, they are unWhole.
for me, that is nature of a Maker.
to be a Being unable to make amends with entropy, to be taken up in the compulsion to create, to be at the Work of making order
